Here’s a little info on today’s news:
Helene Recovery: The Pentagon briefed that 6500 US service members are deployed across 6 states to assist with Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.
Iran/Israel: US forces and other “partners” in the Middle East helped defeat nearly 200 ballistic missiles fired at Israel from Iran. So far there is only one reported casualty from that attack — a Palestinian in the West Bank hit by falling shrapnel. Israel is preparing a response.
Dock Workers’ Strike: Roughly 47,000 dockworkers are on strike at East Coast and Gulf Coast ports. They want a pay raise and limits on automation.
How much of this will be fodder for discussion tonight? We’ll find out soon.
